Pet Energy Healing

ENERGY HEALING TECHNIQUES
Energy Therapy is a broad category that consists of using either ‘hands-on bodywork’ or ‘long distance therapy’ to preserve health, fight disease, or alleviate trauma by working with the body’s own energy and immune systems. Dowsing and Reiki is just two of many techniques that Lauren will utilize to improve the quality of your animal companion’s life. Experience the life force healing energies Lauren can offer your pet on all levels…
- Spiritual
- Emotional
- Mental
- Physical
Done properly, and with the cooperation of the animal, energy healing works on the cause of the problem or disease to accelerate positive change. The problem may be obvious… a broken leg. Or it may stem from a trauma suffered while lost, or housed in a rescue facility. We may find the cause of a situation traces back through many lifetimes, so again we will go back in time to uncover the trauma and heal the wound at its source and then move forward in time to the present.
The power of energy therapy to effect dramatic healing from dire physical, psychological and emotional problems stems from tracing the issue to its source. This can be complex, but well worth the effort.
For instance, let’s start with a couple of basics. Dogs are typically all about protecting us, their humans. My dog took on pancreatic and liver cancer in her attempt to help me heal from the pain of losing her in a fire in her previous lifetime. When I explained that this was not necessary, that her presence alone was all the comfort I needed, she released the cancers for healing. Cats, on the other hand, typically reside and do their work in the realm of entities and the otherworldly, (remember the movie ‘Bell, Book & Candle’?) Horses are mostly into showing you, their human, where you’re at, what you are really asking for, so they’ve been known to deliver their message with great intensity to get you to wake up and pay attention. Your horse may think nothing of throwing you off and into a tree, if that will get his message across to you. I rode my horse bareback usually, making it impossible to re-mount when he threw me into the lake, onto the beach, or the middle of an orchard while he was teaching me the life lessons he had come to share with me.
The second important thing to know is that animals want to be asked questions, not told answers. Especially horses. So the process of discovering the source of a problem can be a complex, detailed one. In the end, it’s a matter of asking just the right questions until you get to the ones that yield the pieces that ultimately complete the puzzle, allowing your pet to release and change of their own volition.
Abby is her mom’s service dog and most precious soul, but she was born with renal failure. No one could understand her first year of life why she was always so ill. At one year she was diagnosed with renal failure, and her person was told she wouldn’t live long and would suffer. She is a joyous angelic girl, tiny and jittery. Getting her to eat and hold down food is the major problem, along with itching and scratching. After confirming that she indeed wants to stay on the planet and to feel well, we began working with her foods, compounding a soothing shampoo, changing the fabric of her bedding, finding the homeopathics and remedies that would support her health, and performing energy healings on her. Both Abby and her mom are pleased with her improved health.
Cat acts as if it has seen a ghost. Virgil is a 3 year old cat who came to my friend in Indiana from a shelter as a kitten. The cat grew very fond of my friend’s boyfriend, spending every minute with him all day long. Then a year ago, Jason died unexpectedly. Virgil has been acting so peculiarly since then, hiding in closets, under the couch, cowering in corners. The yowling was driving my friend mad. So we talked with Virgil. So much sadness and heartbreak poured forth from this kitty. He missed Jason terribly. But also, it turns out the cat was seeing Jason’s ghost. Apparently Jason wasn’t quite sure where to head when he passed on. So we politely helped his spirit connect with his guides who helped him move on to the next level. Virgil instantly calmed, lost the look of terror, and came over for hugs.
Wrigley is not who she appears to be. Our first day in San Diego, a man in the hotel lobby heard me speaking of working with animals and asked me to come to his room to look at his dog. Her skin was a mess, pimples and rashes, under her fur. She wouldn’t eat until late at night. And she spent most of her time looking at Chase with a quizzical expression. When asked about all of this, she said that the food makes her ill. It is not supportive of her well being, so she delays eating any of it until she is starving. Then she dropped the bombshell. It turns out that Wrigley is really ‘Jenny’, Chases’s beloved girl that he had lost the year before. She tried to tell Chase before she died that she would come back to him, but he couldn’t hear her. When Chase found her at a shelter in L.A., she had been wandering the streets, “looking for him”. I brought her some of my dogs’ raw meat and cultured raw goats milk from our room, and Jenny dove right in. I taught him what foods to feed and ‘Jenny’ is a happy healthy girl now.
A horse is a horse, of course, of course. Shenandoah is 20 and “has been around the block”, so he says. He was stabled in New York state, where his owner allowed him to be used to give children lessons. She owned him just for the joy of having him in her life, and wanted him to have exercise and socialization. She brought him to Arizona when she moved there a couple years ago. Now she wants to go back East and is looking to re-home Shenandoah in Arizona, rather than putting him through a long travel and bringing him back into the cold weather of the North East. She asked for help when he stopped eating, constantly walked away from her, and refused grooming. Shenandoah definitely had something to say. He has spent his life with Lisa and is willing to put up with the weather, the move, whatever, just so long as he and Lisa stay together. Relationships are as deep and meaningful for animals as they are for humans, and he wants theirs to be honored.
We had a woman whose dog Taylor would not allow her owner to heal the pup’s cataracts. After we started working energetically with her, we discovered that the dog’s problem was not at a physical, emotional or mental level. The problem was at a soul level. The dog did not want to heal the cataracts because she was processing her owner’s karma. The dog was using the cataracts to protect her person from her own mother, who was extremely abusive to her daughter. This is very common in both dogs and cats… to work on a soul level to protect their person by taking on diseases. Once we explained to the pup that her person is very capable of protecting herself against her own mother, and that the best gift she could give would be to heal and keep herself healthy, the cataracts healed and her eyesight was restored. The issue was between the dog and her soul, and she was willing to release the protectiveness, the grief and the illness.
A young man with a big dog with a big problem. Jason had just moved himself and his young Great Dane into a very small motor home after splitting up with his girl friend. He was needing to find a job, but the dog howled and barked endlessly every time he was left alone. Jason did not understand ‘separation anxiety’, nor did he know what to do about it. I spoke with Dante, the Great Dane. He was upset, stressed, and confused. He did not know where the rest of the family was, nor why he was being forced to live in this tiny box. He could not turn around without effort, had no comfortable place to lay down, was in constant agitation. I explained the change in the family and living situations, that Jason needed to find a new job to support them and thus would have to be gone for long periods of time every day, and that he would always take Dante out for long play sessions and lots of exercise. Dante understood now and calmed down. I left them with some homeopathic remedies for Stress and Agitation. Jason called the next day to say that Dante had completely ceased barking and howling. He followed up two months later to say that Dante was still calm and comfortable.
